I have had the privilege of participating in eight short-term mission trips to Constanta, Romania since 2007. Constanta is the 3rd largest city in Romania with almost 350,000 people. Constanta is a central and strategic location from which the gospel can go forth throughout the city, to hundreds of surrounding villages, and beyond.
Team members from America work with other Christians from Romania who have already been sharing the gospel with those who have never heard, helping those who believe to grow in their faith, and establishing new churches. We help them where they need us to help.
The Romanian believers are led by Pastor Sergiu, a young, dynamic, mature and gifted individual. He and his wife have 2 beautiful daughters. They all serve at Golgotha Baptist, a strategic church with a great vision for church planting and leadership training.
By returning to Constanta many times, I have had the opportunity to witness the transforming power of the message of Christ on individuals and also on different villages surrounding the city. Each member of the mission team has a unique gift and role to play. By working together with fellow believers from Romania, the Lord is glorified and more is accomplished than we could have thought or imagined.
