Dear Family and Friends,

I am writing to inform you of all the amazing things that happened to me while I was in Ethiopia. If you remember I was the girl God didn't make for Africa. Well, this not made for Africa girl can't wait to get back. There was dirt, mud, (I fell down what I call poopy mud hill), animal bones and parts, animal droppings, and trash. All of which I can't stand, but there was also so much love and friendship that nothing else even matters. 

During my 8 days I was gifted in Addis Ababa, I learned a humbling lesson. I learned to be grateful for the thing I have and to not grumble or pout about the things I don't. I was also blessed to see what true gratitude and love really is. 

On my 1st day walking through one of the villages, my heart broke for these people. I just couldn't imagine how anyone could live like these people. Some had nothing more than tarps over sticks as a house with a bucket outside to go to the bathroom. Others had dried poop patty huts, while others had pieced together corrugated tin to form a home. And none had toilets or showers, let alone any kind of running water. But, what they ALL had was a glowing happiness about them. They're lives are simple, yet extremely difficult. They work harder then I have ever seen and yet they smile and give even though they don't have.

I am praying I will be able to return every October and May, Lord willing, and Tony is hoping to be able to return every May. So we are looking for you guys, our friends and family, to commit to a monthly gifting so that way it won't put any extra stress on you with a one time large amount. Braking it up into small monthly giftings may help elevate some stress, while still helping us get back to the beautiful people of Ethiopia.

I am asking all of you, our family and friends, to pray about the amount of support God is asking you to help with, even if it seems like a nothing amount to you and you think what could that help, God knows what He is doing and it may be just what is needed. If every one of you gives, we will no problem when I comes time to return. When it came time for us to return home I was amazed at the how hard it was. It felt like my heart was broken in two. I know it's hard to believe that in 8 days I could be so completely attached to anyone, but I was. They ALL became my family, a part of who I am. These beautiful people are who, I believe, God has placed on my heart to help. I will no longer question God's calling, but go where He leads. Please go with me!!!
