In June 2015, I was blessed to travel to Cambodia with a team of pharmacy students, nursing students, and various medical staff to provide spiritual and medical care to people in their rural communities. God has given me another opportunity to participate in another medical mission to Greece to serve Syrian refugees.
Since the start of the Syrian war, the ensuing refugee crisis has become one of the most difficult issues facing the world today. Combined with similar political, economic, and military conflicts developing in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan, Europe is now the epicenter for the world’s largest humanitarian crisis since the Holocaust.
Adjacent to the Aegean Sea, many desperate migrants pay human smugglers to pack them into overloaded rafts taking them from Turkey to the Greek coasts. In a recent estimate, over 3,800 have died in 2016 alone attempting the journey, a testament to the impossible situations they leave behind in their home countries.
This expedition will put us on the front lines of this tremendous crisis, allowing us to possibly come face-to-face with refugees shortly after they arrive in Greece for the first time. We will have many opportunities to demonstrate God’s love and share the Gospel while working alongside e3 Medical teams providing free healthcare to those who need it most. Our team will also have opportunities to encounter migrants in one of Greece’s major cities and to engage in Gospel conversations. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve the world’s most vulnerable people when they need it most.
I'm asking for support financially and through prayers for my team and me! Any donation amount would be a HUGE blessing and for His glory!
The cost deadlines are as follows: February 15: $1,748 (our team will be purchasing flights!)
March 15: $874
April 15: $874
I have full faith and trust in God that He will supply this need - to ultimately glorify His name and bring His people back to Him. This is something that I truly care about and believe the Lord has called me to serve.
Thank you for your support and prayers!! I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve and share God's love!
