UPDATE: February 6, 2020 The past few weeks we have been full on active on the ground!
More than 1,000 families were impacted by the backpacks. Provided meals to more than 150 people in one day. Connected with a couple of community leaders.
Thank you so much for your generosity, thoughts and prayers for Puerto Rico. We couldn't do this without you!
We're excited to be re-starting our phase 2 next week which is reconstruction of homes as we host another team to come help. We will continue to rebuild homes for those affected by Hurricane Maria, and more than 18,000 neighbors in the south affected by the Earthquakes.
We appreciate your continuous support!

Amigos,
These past few days we have been active on the ground; delivering meals, emergency packages, medicine, water, and much more.
We've got 500 Solar Lamps so far - thank you to your generosity!
But the ground keeps shaking. It's happened thousands of times in the last few weeks.
Thousands.
We are taking doctors to the affected areas. We are connecting people to psychologists and counselors. We are even hosting a family here in our home. They were sleeping in their car, because their 9 year old son was injured during one of the shakes. He needed 9 stitches, but they couldn't find a doctor. Finally they did, and decided to reach out to strangers (my wife and I) to ask for shelter. They are now family! And in our home they get to rest, recover, and plan their next move.
All over the south of Puerto Rico, homes have been destroyed, lives have been lost, and many are without hope.
Please, use the link to support our efforts. We will help families (some who have lost everything) relocated. We will also to host trained teams, who are bringing the necessary equipment to assist those who are in shelters still.
+ We will continue to rebuild homes for those affected by Hurricane Maria, and now, our more than 18,000 neighbors in the south affected by the Earthquakes.

UPDATE: January 10, 2020
Many still remain without electricity and running water as of today. As we face another day, we will be focusing on three things;
- Distributing Water Filters so people can have access to clean water
- Continue to distribute Solar Inflatable Lamps with phone charger to those without electricity
- Distributing Emergency Backpacks - the government is encouraging all to get hold of these backpacks which includes following items;
- Whistle
- Hand Sanitizer
- Toilet paper
- Flashlights
- Towels
- Water bottles
- Fist Aid Kit
- Cereal bars
Some simply don't have access to it. Some can't afford to purchase. This helps people to prepare mentally and for emergencies. We'll be purchasing these and distributing this to most needed areas.
We appreciate your generosity, and continuing to ask for your consideration to give.
The Happy NPO is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.UPDATE: January 9, 2020 Roughly two thirds of Puerto Rico remains without electricity, and many still don't have running water. Aftershocks continuing. Many sleeping in their cars. The head of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority mentioned yesterday that it may take a year to get one of the islands most important power plants generating energy again - this means 30% of the population with no power for a year!
These are the things we're working on;
- We have been organizing accommodation for families with children and/or with patients who has lost their homes.
- Carlos and the team will be heading down to the areas today where it was most affected - prayers are so appreciated.
Thank you so much for your generosity and continuous support!

Puerto Rico is in need.
A 5.8 magnitude earthquake shook the entire island of Puerto Rico on Monday morning, January 6th, 2020. And another 6.4 magnitude shook this morning, January 7th. The island is still in recovery from Hurricane Maria which was a category 5 Hurricane back in 2017. The damage and the need from this earthquake is surfacing quickly.
As our team is in Puerto Rico, we'll use this donation to help people in need on the island for immediate response.
To those affected by the earthquake in the south of Puerto Rico, write to us. Our non-profit would be happy to host families for seven nights in secure homes.

Thank you all!
