We have BIG news!

Our family is growing as we are in the process of adopting a son! We have been matched with this precious seven year old boy from China named Trey. Trey is a smart and shy child who also happens to be diagnosed with Hemophilia- the same bleeding disorder as our 4 (almost 5 :)) year old son Tag. Tag is SO excited about becoming a "little" brother he can hardly stand it! Josh and I have struggled with infertility for several years now, but we knew in our hearts that our family and our love was not through growing yet. A few months ago, we were told about Trey, and we knew adopting this sweet boy was how our family was meant to grow. 

We are working as quickly as possible to bring our son home. Trey deserves to be loved unconditionally and cared for by a family of his own, as all children do, but he also desperately needs access to medical care to treat and manage his bleeding disorder. For Trey, living with Hemophilia is very dangerous since he is not able to receive all the medicine he needs to prevent and treat bleeding episodes. Therefore, Trey's daily activities are restricted to prevent him from getting injured. Once he is home we will be able to get him the medicine and medical care he needs to flourish and live a full and active life with very few limitations. 

Our family is beyond excited as we are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
