Meet Saja, She was full of whimsy and playfulness as she filled the OR with giggles and smiles. She is a beautiful, 11-year-old girl i
n 6th grade this year, and loving every moment of it—except for the moments where her heart couldn’t keep up with all the dreams and aspirations of an 11-year-old.
Thanks to your generosity—Saja's heart is no longer failing. After an 11-year wait, Saja received a lifesaving heart surgery on Remedy Mission XIX in Southern Iraq. Now, all of those dreams and aspirations are right around the corner for Saja. And that’s enough to put whimsy in anyone.
On behalf of Saja and her family, we thank you for providing the needed funding for her lifesaving heart surgery.
She was one of 21 children who received surgery on Remedy Mission XIX, but it doesn't stop there. We also found 130+ children who still needed lifesaving heart surgery. So many things can keep an Iraqi child from the lifesaving surgery he or she needs—don’t let medical supplies be one of them! Join us in saving more lives just like Saja through providing medical supplies to mend and patch hearts
here.
