We are eager to tell you about OUR trip to Rwanda this year. After 9 years of praying, God has heard our prayers and called both of us to GO. This has been a dream for a long time. The question we have is can the Rwandans keep up with two Walkers? But we all know God never gives us more than we can handle.
An exciting change for this year’s expedition from previous years is that it will be one long campaign instead of two shorter ones. What that means is we can go deeper, love harder, serve stronger in one village. Building relationships are very important to the Rwandans. We can share Christ with more people, prayerfully start second generation SECOND groups, perhaps even third generation. In past trips, this interactive bible study has transformed lives in a matter of days. We feel blessed to be allow to participate in this process.
Our prayer is that YOU would GO with us. We would love to have our family and friends join us in spreading the gospel in the most beautiful place in the world. :) You are needed! It is estimated that 75 – 100 people come to Christ for every North American that goes to Rwanda. With the trip less than 4 months away, the time is short to commit to go. Don’t let the expense prevent you from seeking His Will in prayer. We have seen God raise up funds in a matter of days.
We also need your financial support. Our Lord owns the cattle of a thousand Hills and His plan will be accomplished with or without us. However, Ephesians 2:10 tells us Christ prepared works in advanced for each of us to do. Would you pray and ask Him how you can respond? Our combined total expense is $8,100.00. Besides getting us to Rwanda, a portion of these funds support our ministry partners/interpreters working alongside us. We can’t do this work without them. We also leave mountain bikes and discipleship materials for each of the churches established. We are required to have half of our funding turned in by February 27. That doesn’t leave much time.
