Our Story:

Eight years ago, sitting in a coffee shop, we started discussing our future - marriage, family, plans. We were both thrilled to discover that we each felt called to adopt, regardless of whether God chose to bless us with biological children.

Three years into our marriage, God blessed us with Alexandria "Alex" Joy. She lives up to her name - as a fierce warrior and someone who fights for joy!

For the past two years, we have prayed for the Lord to continue to grow our family, for Alex to have a sibling, for our house to be filled as we grow in truth and love. Initially those were prayers for a biological child. We assumed our call to adoption was for the distant future.

As we faced challenges while trying to have another biological child, our prayers began to change. Over time, our family's next step in growth was clarified: the dream we had for adoption in the distant future has been placed in front of us at the present. He is faithful to provide - both for us and for our next child.

Knowing that we were at one time “strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world" (Eph 2:12), we rejoice in the fact that "now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:12–13). Even though we have no rightful claim to the promises of God (not related to Abraham), we have received adoption as sons and daughters, and are heirs through God! (Galatians 4:3-7). We cannot wait to show a small part of this love to a child without a family who can care for them. Our desire is that they know that they are loved, wanted, chosen, and adopted into our family and even more into the Family of God.

We are using a local agency for our homestudy and Christian Adoption Consultants (CAC) as our matching consulting group for a domestic adoption. We will be working with multiple agencies that CAC has chosen for their Christian and ethical standards.

In addition, our hearts have been bent by the Gospel towards intentionally placing race and other specifics about our child (siblings, twins, etc.) in God's providence. With this in mind, and considering the make-up of our family and the needs of our future child, we would like to adopt a little girl younger than Alex's age and continue with our current birth order.

With this type of domestic adoption, it is possible that things may move very quickly (even as little as 6 months!) We are in awe of God's provision for us thus far, even in words spoken by family and friends of reminders that He will provide. Thank you for reminding us of this through prayer, support, and financial giving. It brings us SO much joy to know that our child is loved already with such sacrifice and compassion!

If you are led to help bring our child home through a financial gift, it will go directly to our adoption agency through this site, and will be tax deductible for you. Our goal is to raise $20,000 through this site and through Kristen Owens Photography. Knowing that this is a BIG number, we also know that we serve a big God.

Please join us in praying that our child would come home and that God would be glorified through the process, from now and throughout our lives. We look forward to the impact your involvement and support will have on the child God has chosen to bring into our family. Traditional Individual/Family Session: 1 hour, $150
Newborn Session: 3 hours, $220
Mini Sessions (seasonal only): 20 minute session, $75
