GREAT NEWS! We continue on our adoption journey here in the U.S. As you may know, our journey to adopt has not been free from struggle. In 2012 we had a failed adoption attempt from Haiti. Soon thereafter we chose another agency and attempted to adopt a little boy from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2013. That too unraveled. In 2014 we were referred twins from the DRC and proceeded to legally adopt them in January of 2015. We were unable to bring them home due to agency complications and country corruption. They have since returned to family members.
As you can imagine, we have incurred a lot of expenses the past few years. We have prayed and discerned that the Lord desires for us to press on in faith. We began the process of adopting domestically in spring of 2015 with a local agency. Christmas of 2016 we brought home boy/girl twins from the hospital. We couldn't be more thrilled! God is good. Alison Joy and Elijah Lynn are both healthy and doing great.
We've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success. We have a donation goal of $10,000 that will go toward the cost of our home study, placement and agency fees, needs for birth parent(s), and court/legal fees. We have cleared court and the twins are "forever ours". However, we still are on the last leg of our journey which includes home study visits and finalization over a six month period. Every donation is important and will help make this adoption successful. No gift is too small! Would you kindly consider making a donation? Also, we would appreciate your willingness to share this with others who may want to participate.
Thank you so much for being a part of our lives and for your continued support and generosity. We truly appreciate you and we are filled with gratitude as you help us bring our little ones home.
Much love,
Nathan, Celeste, Micah and Briella
