September 13 is e3 Giving Day!  

We continue to press on towards our goal, a world where the Body of Christ and its life-saving message are available to every person, and as we do so, there is an upcoming opportunity that we'd like to share with you. 

The world's youngest independent country has a recent and troubled history of  prolonged conflicts and climate change, namely desertification.  These forces have resulted not only in violence and famine, but also the forced migration of large numbers of the population, both inside and outside the country's borders. South Sudan was cited as the largest refugee crisis in 2016, being the world's third largest, followed by Syria and Afghanistan.

Over 1 million South Sudanese now call Uganda home for the time being, all in hopes of being able to return to their lives and farms once lasting peace is established. They live in refugee camps building mud houses and planting small gardens.  For most, this is not their first experience of being a refugee. For some, this is the 3rd time they have had to flee their homeland because of war or famine.

e3 Partners is bringing hope to these South Sudanese refugees through the good news of God's Word.  We train believers to "story" God's Word through simple, accurate and repeatable stories from the Bible.  We have already developed 2 story sets - one on the life of Joseph and the other on the life of Jesus among the Shilluk people group living in the Bidi-Bidi camp in northwest Uganda. These stories are shared in small group settings where people hear about a loving and compassionate God who sees them and hears their cries for peace.  Our goal is to continue training our Shilluk friends and other people groups in other camps to have a complete Bible story set of 50 stories or more.  Each story is usually accompanied by a song and dance that they have also developed.

How can you help??  

e3 Partners Giving Day is an online event from 6AM to midnight on Thursday, September 13th to help raise awareness and support for e3. Every online donation made that day will be enhanced by a $100,000 pool of bonus funds, meaning on September 13th, every dollar is worth more! More people hearing the gospel. More churches planted. More baptisms. More ambassadors for Christ!
