We are 3 out of 4 home visits completed! One more to go - on 9/11, and then our i800a will go to immigration! THANK YOU all for your help and love and support!
On a more personal note, they told Milo that he has a family - and he has a photo album of our family, translated with labels into chinese! They are actively working to help him prepare for his upcoming adoption! We've been asked several times what the timeline looks like. Assuming that the money is there to pay for each step, it looks like this: 1: Preapproval (done) 2: Homestudy - 3-4 months (we're mostly done with this, and our timeline has been about 2 months from start to expected finish! yay!) 3: i800a to immigration - this is a 2-3 month wait for approval 4: document authentication and sending it to CHINA! this is a 2-6 week wait from i800a approval to "logged in date" in China 5: waiting for our Letter of Approval - this is usually 3ish months from LID 6: updating immigration paperwork with the specifics of our child! 7: I get a little fuzzy on the details here, but apparently, from LOA to travel is about 8-9 weeks! :)
So, with that timeline in mind, we're on track for a late spring to early summer 'gotcha' date!!
thanks, guys, for ALL of the love and support <3. We need every bit of it - and so does Milo! <3
