Since 2015, Into the Light's vision is that no child who has experienced the horrors of sex trafficking will ever have to journey alone and that intervention will occur at the earliest point. Our team is making that vision a reality through our three-fold mission: illuminate the darkness of sexual exploitation, partner with children as they move from victim to survivor, and effectively collaborate with all sectors of our communities to holistically tackle human trafficking.

Sex trafficking happens in a relationship, which means healing happens in a relationship. The children we serve move from victim to survivor through our crisis intervention and relationship-directed advocacy. Our advocates provide weekly mentorship, life skills training, and connection to community resources and other faith-based encouragers. Young victims are given faithful love while they are transitioning from victim to survivor.

Additionally, Into the Light not only equips communities to identify trafficking victims, provides prevention to at-risk children, we also intentionally establish vital working relationships with the Juvenile Justice system, law enforcement, mental health professionals, residential facilities, juvenile detention centers, and other victim service organizations to provide pathways for survivors. Partnering with our communities provides us the opportunities to develop strong relationships with leaders who can assist in providing long-term, effective wrap-around services to survivors. With this necessary support the survivors are able to reach their full potential and completely recover from being exploited by a trafficker.
