Cooperative Emergency Outreach (CEO) is seeking to raise $2,200 to fund one month's food purchases to supplement donations to the CEO Food Pantry.
CEO served 13,730 family members in 2019, 83% of whom requested a 3-day supply of food; CEO distributed $350,000 worth of food. Clients' food requests have increased 10% each year since 2017.
In addition to food, in 2019 CEO expenditures for direct assistance to clients were: utilities - 37%, rent - 20.1%, gasoline - 12.6%, clothing - 7.6%, prescriptions - 0.4%, and transportation - 0.1%.
CEO is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. In 2019, a monthly average of 274 volunteered 8,205 hours.
