Two weeks ago while we were in Tanzania (Africa) on a mission trip to the Hadzabe and Tatoga people groups, by God’s grace I was able to lead Hassan to Christ. He is in his early twenties and was being prepared to become the next “ tribal Prophet” of the Tatoga tribe. His grandmother is the current tribe “prophet”. When we shared the gospel to him, his response was, “I have been serving Satan for my whole life. I do not like it but I also do not know how I can set myself free. I do need Jesus.” Two weeks later, Hassan is now being persecuted because of His faith. His family is threatening to disown him and a group of radicals in the tribe are trying to persuade him to renounce his Christian faith. I spoke with Hassan today and his response was, “I am already seeing The Lord's goodness in all this, and no matter what happens to me, I do know where my hope and future lie”.
