Shafik is 13 years old. He has a high sense of humor and he likes to make friends. He is in primary school and his grades are excellent.

A few years ago, Shafik ran away from home at a tender age because his parents neglected their responsibility of taking him to school. At a tender age, he engaged in child labor to provide for his needs like food and clothes. Ultimately, this forced him to leave home and go to the streets, where life became a nightmare. He failed to secure himself a place to stay, or even acquire proper meals, let alone go to school. He became malnourished and more vulnerable, leading to his unhappiness. 

During our street outreach program, Shafik was identified and rescued by our social workers. He was admitted for rehabilitation and progressive treatment.
