When we came upon the large group widows all sleeping together outside we were shocked. Women who had lost their husbands, their families and their homes were all living together on the loading dock in a dark alley. Staying together gave them a sense of security as they fought feelings of loneliness, despair and hopelessness.
We met many hurting and homeless people when we were in Kakinada, India but our minds kept going back to all the homeless and hungry widows who were sleeping outside.
New Life for Widows could take 75
homeless widows off the streets immediately and place them on the 2nd floor of our City of Refuge in Kakinada if 75
people would join Club 24-New Life for Widows now.
Will you sponsor one of these homeless widows now?
Donors will receive an immediate acknowledgement of their commitment to a widow along with a picture and bio. Throughout the year, donors will receive reports about the New Life for Widows program.
Donors are invited to write the widow they sponsor via a NLEC staff person. To save on postage, communication will be done via email.
