The paperwork is complete and it feels wonderful!

Our next step is to meet with our social worker to complete the home study. He or she will ensure that our home is up to all legal codes (spoiler: it is!), advise us on childproofing, and really focus on getting to know us- our personality, our parenting styles, our hopes, and dreams- so that we can make the best possible match with a birth family. In the meantime, we will start working on our profile book, a short scrapbook that will introduce us, our home, and our family to birth families that we may eventually match with.

Our ultimate goal is to raise the funds in order to match with a birth family by the end of 2021.
