We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total $60,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $50,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents

Where does this money go?

Fees include, but are not limited to:

• $16,500 Program and Agency fees
• $1,500 Various expenses associated with matching families
• $7,500 Designated Coordination fees
• $10,000 Local service fees
• $2,100 Post-placement supervision fees
• $500 Communication agreements 
• $1,500 Finalization
• $5,000-$15,000 Additional fees and costs, including the costs of travel and accommodations if our baby is born out-of-state. If this is the case, we will be unable to bring Baby Burke back to our home for 10-14 days, and will stay with Baby B in his or her birth state until all necessary paperwork is completed and filed.
