We are adopting a child!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that international adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

Ethan and I have known for a very long time that the Lord placed the desire on our hearts that our family would be built by adoption.

After falling in love with our kids, and finally being able to adopt them last year, we assumed that our family was complete. God, however, had a better plan for us than we could have even imagined. Earlier this year, He began placing on our hearts a desire that maybe our family is supposed to grow again. After spending time in prayer and discussion, we have been called to adopt internationally. Specifically, we have been led to adopt from the beautiful country of Colombia.

We feel so strongly that adopting internationally calls parents to be intentional about immersing ourselves and our future child in their home culture, and we feel that we are able to do this by being surrounded by our multi-ethnic church family. God has uniquely placed us right where we are for the purpose of bringing our child home and into our special community of believers. Adoption is so special to us, and we know that because God has called us to this journey He has also prepared a way for us to make it happen- emotionally, logistically, and financially. We are SO thankful to you all for your support, and covet your prayers as we walk through this process.

How can you love and support us through this? Pray for us. Pray for our family as we prepare to bring another child into our home. Pray for our child. Pray that she is happy, healthy, and safe. Pray that she comes to know the Lord. Pray that she is able to experience the love and sense of belonging that we all deserve. Lastly, we would be incredibly grateful if the Lord places the desire on your heart to help us financially. Adoption, especially internationally, is incredibly expensive, and we will only be able to complete this process with God's hand helping us along the way.
