We are in process to adopt 2 special needs children from China!
Judah lives in the ShangHai children's orphanage and has a rare blood disease called Beta Thalassemia Major that requires him to receive life saving blood transfusions. In China, this diagnosis limits his life expectancy to 18 years. Here, he has a chance to live a full life. Judah is 12 years old. 2/3 of his life expectancy. We are trying to raise money to bring him home. He has waited his whole life for this.
We added Judah onto the adoption of two sweet little girl's who were born with special needs.
First, there is Carah, who lives in an orphanage, in the province of Guangdong. She lives with a severe orthopedic condition know as Arthrogryposis. This causes her legs to twist around and are in a rear facing position. Here, she will have the life changing surgery needed at Shriner's hospital, and she will finally be able to walk, run and play like a child should.
We are also adopting their 4 year old sister, Gracie on this trip. She is from the province of Hunan, and has lived there in the children's orphanage since birth. She was born with a serious and complex heart defect that has required two open heart surgeries. China has done all that they can to fix Gracie's broken heart and now it is time for her to have the HOPE that a loved American child has. Her heart is a good candidate for repair here, we just have to get to her in time! We received an update on May 8th that sweet Gracie is in the hospital in heart failure, and we need to get to her ASAP!
We've started a TAX DEDUCTIBLE fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success. We have a donations goal of $15,000. We have used all of our savings to cover our expenses to this point in our adoption journey to Judah, Carah and Gracie and need to raise the rest of the funds to get to them!
Your donations are paid directly to our adoption agency, and will be cover these sweet children's orphanage donations, in country adoption processing fees, immigration costs and most importantly - their plane tickets home!
Every donation is important and will help make this adoption a success. Would you kindly consider making a donation? Also, we would appreciate your willingness to share this with others who may want to participate.
Thank you so much for being a part of our lives and helping accomplish something that's important to all of us!
