I'm getting creative with helping others. I've decided to focus all of my
energy on establishing
M.A.D.E. Academy as a brick and mortar commercial space
in
Grove Park, Atlanta to transform the lives of creative youth and adults by
helping to re-establish the once thriving residents of this beautiful neighborhood
and become a hub for arts education and entrepreneurship.
My
Goal is to raise $100,000 by December 31,
2017 to be fully funded for the 2018 calendar year.
That's why I started this fundraiser on Pure Charity. Every penny goes to fund M.A.D.E. Academy, enabling me to secure a commercial location
complete with necessary furnishings and equipment. M.A.D.E will provide qualified instructors/mentors,
modern equipment, quality supplies, access to resources, field trips designed
to expand students’ knowledge and creative inspiration.
YES!!! I have a BIG Mission and an
even BIGGER God-Given Vision and I understand that it can't be done alone!
I firmly believe that it not only takes a village to raise a child, but it
takes a village to support women, men, and youth in their desire to become creative
artists.... and entrepreneurs! If an individual has had life challenges,
it can often be a virtual impossibility to have access to quality creative arts
education, development, and resources to make a life changing transition, let
alone the disposable income to pay for it. I have done my absolute best
to keep the cost of our classes and events lower than current market rates. However, I desire that no child or adult who truly wants learn be turned away!
Those that CAN pay DO... But we are purposely located in an economically
challenged neighborhood so that we can develop entrepreneurs here in Grove Park
and assist in transforming lives and highlighting the unique culture
and art of this neighborhood. With YOUR generosity, those who cannot pay CAN STILL LEARN AND BE MENTORED INTO ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
The mission is creating financial freedom and social responsibility thru
arts education and entrepreneurship. I believe that by pairing creative
arts education and skills training with a guided transition into
entrepreneurship we are able to assist in putting financial stability directly
back into the hands of the individual.
If you are a supporter of the arts, independent artists, and grassroots
community-based entrepreneurship then I'd like to invite you to become one of
our "M.V.P's"! M.V.P's
(M.A.D.E. Village Patrons) are our key donors/sponsors and
contributors. By becoming an MVP, you help us to provide necessary
supplies, tools, materials, state of the art equipment, professional
instruction, field trips, and all crucial and essential components allowing our
students to learn current best practices, techniques, and marketable skills to
become a self-sustainable living working independent maker, artist, designer,
and entrepreneur.
Thank you for helping me make a difference!
