In the fall of 2012, Help One Now, in conjunction with our local Haitian leaders, built Ferrier Village to help fight child trafficking.  Located in Ferrier, a small Haitian community near the Dominican border, the Village us currently home to 35 children being loved and cared for 24/7 by their 7 house mothers, a cook, and the 2 directors of Ferrier Village.  Furthermore, over a dozen children have been reunited with their families!

As part of our ongoing efforts to break the cycle of poverty, we are building a preschool at Ferrier Village.  This preschool will bring education to the children of Ferrier, which leads to more opportunity later in life.  Furthermore, the preschool gives parents a safe place to leave their children, allowing them more opportunity to find work and better provide for their families. 

Phase 4 - Build Kitchen + Provide 100 Hot Meals Each School Day -- $25,000

Many children in Haiti do not eat three meals every day.  Many are lucky to get just one regular meal.  Upon completion of Phase 4, the Preschool at Ferrier Village will be able to serve one hot meal to all its students every school day for an entire year!  This will bring much needed nutrition, as well as a greater ability to focus and learn.
