Hi there! I will be serving with 11 of my classmates and our professor, in Uganda, from August 11th-August 30th, to provide speech and language therapy alongside an organization called Hope Speaks. Their mission is to bring hope and raise voices for children with disabilities through speech therapy, advocacy, and education, empowering communities to defend the rights of these children and their families. We are so excited for the opportunity to share both the gifts God has given to each of us, as well as the tools we have gained through the Biola grad school program. I would like to invite you to share in this opportunity to serve with me!
Children with disabilities in Uganda are often hidden away from society, abused, and sometimes even killed. Across Africa, as is the case in many developing countries, there is a significant lack of information and education about disabilities. The mission of Hope Speaks, and our group is to bring hope and raise voices for children with disabilities through speech therapy, advocacy, and education, empowering communities to
defend the rights of these children and their families.
I started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that I need for the mission. I have a one-time single donations goal of $3,000 that will go towards the initial cost of the mission. It's been my desire to serve and I hope that you will consider being part of this opportunity with me.
Every donation is important and will enable me to be present and help others in need. Would you kindly consider making a donation? Also, I would appreciate your willingness to share this with others who may want to participate.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life and helping me accomplish something that's important to all of us!
-Kacie
