WE DID IT!

You and I, brought hope and restored many relationships with God. God healed in miraculous ways, people received salvation, and many recommitted their lives to Jesus. I fell in love with Costa Rica in a whole new way. 

Thank you for your prayers last week, they were felt. God moved in this rural community of La Perla, He created a small community and brought break through for the ladies I went to visit. 

Wednesday, July 12th, I met with Noemy, a young woman 24yrs old, who's relationship with God was distant and filled by a religious spirit. She was hospitable and let me sit in her home. I shared my testimony and the 3 circles gospel presentation. It was clear that she understood God wanted a closer relationship with her, one where she talks to Him daily and trusts Him for all she desires. But there was part of her that felt guilty that she was talking about God outside of her Catholic church. When I offered to come back and train her in discovery bible study, she was confused because she knew I was asking was her to read the bible with me, yet she felt like she was committing a sin. I asked her to reflect on what she was sharing and she saw for herself that something was amiss. She then shared a story about her friend who seemed to have really found Christ and is following Him. Her friend is openly judged, criticized, and rejected by the other ladies at her church. Once again, she was face with a fear of rejection. I asked her what she thought about this situation and she knew it wasn't right. The hearts of those around her were far from the God we had just been sharing about. 

Noemy invited me to come back the next day and as matter of fact, she was waiting at the front door for my arrival! This time I had a friend from our group Carolina, her translator Carla, and an older man, Don Francisco, who is part of the local church hosting us in La Perla, join me. I found out the property of Noemy also had a house for her sisters and a third house for her brothers. In addition, Carolina, Carla and Don Francisco had been to those houses and they all received Christ! 

With Noemy's new training to lead a simple and powerful bible study, she and her family can come together and follow Christ. It was such a blessing to see God move. He wasn't done just yet. There was an extra bonus, God healed Noemy's back from pressure and pain. He gave this extra blessing and He was glorified even more. Noemy really felt the presence of the Lord and His care for her life.

I'm blessed to share this story and many others like it. Everyone is impacted on trips like these and I love how intentional e3 Partners is about discipleship. Numbers are not the important factors, it's their hearts really knowing they are significant in God's eyes. You all played a significant role too!
