We have BIG news...we are adopting a child!

As some of you may know, we spent quite a bit time of time trying to get pregnant. We were so excited when it finally happened but, unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. It has been nearly a year and, instead of pursuing medical treatments that are physically, emotionally, and financially draining, we have decided to open our hearts to a child (or children!) in need of a loving home. 

And what better place to do that than the land of our parents' birth, the sweet island of Jamaica!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. We had no idea that adoption costs could reach into the thousands. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
