We are writing to keep you updated on the progress of our adoption journey. Just recently, we have completed our home study and now are waiting for its approval. Once this happens, we will be able to apply for grants and adoption scholarships to help us in this journey.

We are very excited about all the Lord is doing and how he is preparing us for this new life to join our family.

We have been blown away by all the encouragement and congratulations from so many of you. It is such a blessing to have a supportive community that loves to see growing families and children provided with a home. We know that God has blessed us, especially with friends from work, church and elsewhere that are as passionate about this journey as we are.

We have two fundraising events this month. One was a "Truth be Told Art Party" where we had our friend Joni, a local artist, lead a group of us through an art on canvas workshop, where all the participants left with their very own high-quality work of art. See some pics from the night!

Another event is coming up on September 15th. It is a home-made craft sale hosted at University Hospital. The hospital allows its workers to do this once a year to raise money for causes they are passionate about. If you cannot come out on the 15th, feel free to message us or my mom for custom orders. She has been taking custom orders for the last month or so. 

Our next short term goal in fundraising for this adoption is $4600. This will cover the submittal of our profile books to the agency, who will then share them with birth parents they are currently counseling.
