Building of foundation for Hope for Haiti Community Center has begun! Posted about about 12 years ago

“On this rock we will build together the multi-purpose center,” declared 2013 JCI Haiti President Jude Jean Jacques as he laid the foundation stone for the construction of the multi-purpose center.

On Monday July 29, 2013 members of JCI Haiti as well as the greater public gathered at the site for the community center to mark this grand milestone for the project. “It’s been a long process so far but very exciting to watch. We all can’t wait to see the opportunities this center will create for the community!” said local citizen Anne Ultelie.

“While we celebrate the laying of the foundation stone of this Community Center that will transform the lives of people in this beautiful Country, we recognize the work of resilient members of JCI Haiti, but also acknowledge the contribution of people worldwide. Today takes us one step closer to our goal, but we still have long journey ahead to accomplish our mission.“ says JCI Deputy Secretary General Arrey Obenson.
