We are so blessed and excited to be serving with Hope Remembered in Guinea-Bissau. Travis is the field director while Sarah supports him in his role. We believe that developing relationships with the people is a vital part of our ministry. Because of this, we plan to live indefinitely in Quebo, Guinea-Bissau working alongside locals and other like-minded missions.
Our desire is to see Guineans have access to education, good healthcare, and opportunities to learn skills that will help them provide for their families. As well as reaching their physical needs, we hope to share the gospel with them in ways they can understand.
We will be living in Quebo, Guinea-Bissau, surrounded mostly by Fula people. The Fula people are a nomadic Muslim group that is present in many different West-African countries. According to Joshua Project, there are about 350,000 Fulas in Guinea-Bissau and only 0.2% are evangelical Christians.
Aside from overseeing partnerships and our other projects, Travis will focus on training the locals in sustainable agriculture using the Farming God’s Way method. There is more information on the Sustainable Agriculture page under Our Projects.
While supporting Travis and creating a home on the field, Sarah will also be involved in Bible storying. She previously lived in Bissau for three years during which she and a team of Guinean believers crafted and recorded 48 Bible stories in a natural and reproducible way. They recorded the stories in Kriol, the trade language, and specifically geared towards an animistic worldview. This time she will be helping train Fula people how to craft Bible stories orally. She hopes to learn Fula and befriend the women of Quebo.
We invite you to partner with us as we begin this journey. The two main ways that you can do that are:
•
PRAY- First, you can commit to pray for us. It is so encouraging when things get tough on the field to know that there is an army of people praying for us. We are newly married and moving to an area with much spiritual warfare. We want to have good relationships with the people and to have a healthy marriage and spiritual life. God has answered prayers in amazing ways to lead us to this point and we are excited to see how He works in the future. If you are not already receiving our updates and would like to receive them please email us at travis@hoperemembered.org and ask us to add you to the list. There are also lots of prayer ideas on our website at

GIVE- Second, you can partner with us through financial support. You can give a one-time gift or make a monthly commitment. Your financial gift is tax-deductible
