We're excited to announce that we are beginning the adoption process!

We've known for a long time that we would adopt, and it's surreal to have finally taken the first step in that adoption journey.

Adoption is a beautiful thing and also a very expensive process (an estimated $26,000 now that our application fee is paid). 

We are actively saving and investing in this process ourselves and will also be seeking out grants. With that being said, we can't do this on our own and could really use the help of our community. We really appreciate your support whether that support manifests as prayer, encouragement or financial generosity.

As we embark on this new adventure, we're entering the process sobered, knowing that our lives are part of the larger narrative of God's rescue and redemption in the world.  

This adoption story doesn't belong to us.  We'd like to invite you into this story that is bigger than us and be a part of the process that brings our future son or daughter not only into our home, but into our community.

Update 6.13.17

It’s been a while since our last update! May was a whirlwind of a month that was filled with tremendous blessing, more humbling generosity of those in our community and the Lord’s obvious provision over this whole process. In addition to many generous donations, an anonymous gift of $3500 was given in mid-May that closed the gap and enabled us to finally be able to start the home study process! With that, we’re happy to report that our first home study interview is scheduled for June 20th, all of our paperwork is complete, and we’re over the halfway point towards paying the full $26,000.

As of June 13th, we are at: $14, 345. We need $11,655 by the time of our placement. The home study will take a few weeks to complete, beginning June 20th. The home study's completion will really open up some additional options for funding as we will be able to seek adoption grants. As always,  we really appreciate your prayers and financial support to help close the gap.
