Hello everyone! 

Today we received tentative travel dates and are excited to be packing our bags. The South African court has scheduled our court date for October 11th. Bethany Christian Services and their partners are working to confirm the court date and travel details, but we are currently expecting to be in South Africa by October 1st. In the next few days, we hope to have our travel phone appointment with Rose from Wandisa (the foreign adoption agency partnered with Bethany) to verify our travel details and schedule. We will then be working with Adoption Airfare to arrange our flights. Before the court date in South Africa, we will be staying at a guest house near Jojo’s current home in order to spend time visiting and bonding with him under the guidance of a social worker from Wandisa. After the court date, we will have custody of him in country and will travel to the Cape Town/Sommerset West area while we work with Wandisa to obtain his visa and passport for traveling back to the States.

Please pray:

1)     That we are able to quickly confirm all travel dates and book our flights

2)     That we find reasonable and good accommodations close to the Wandisa office in Sommerset West

3)     That we are able to easily make all arrangements needed to be out of the country for 6-8 weeks

4)     That God would continue to prepare both us and Jojo for the big transition ahead
