Hello Friends,

Well, we are about 6 months into this adoption process and we are so glad to be sharing some of the journey with you!

The next two major steps are to get a police clearance letter for every member of our household over the age of 18 (that makes 4 of us including Cory’s dad and brother) and finishing up a document called CARINGS. Most of the paperwork we are working on right now is for the immigration side of things ie; letting our children into America!!! The final step will be when Cory and I travel to India and file the last few things at the embassy in Delhi. Then our children will be free to travel to America with us. Hallelujah! Seems like a million years away and also like it’ll be here before we know it.

We want to take a minute to thank by name our three friends who have been traveling with us to doctors, police stations, and coming to our homes to notarize literally 100’s of different signatures for us. They have been the lifesavers of this whole process. Josh, Anita, and Rion we cannot thank you enough and we love the ways you are already uniquely impacting our children’s lives. We are so blessed by our community. This is the perfect example of how the church should lift one another up and be in unity. It’s beautiful guys!!

After all of the notarization is complete we need to send it all off to be apostilled by the state department. Can you believe it? All of these layers are in place to protect these vulnerable children from very bad situations. I am equally frustrated and happy about the red tape.

For those of you who’ve asked we now have an option for automatic monthly donations on the fundraising page! I know that is easier for some who’d like to give small chunks over a long period of time. We are grateful for your monthly support. The next round of paperwork needs to be turned in with approximately $15,000 or the whole process will pause until we can pay that amount. I have gone back to work 30 hours a week to help out and Cory’s father has more full time care through an agency that we have been using.
