Adoption Update March 2020

We are thrilled to share that on February 21, 2020 we received a call from our agency with a referral.  Soon after, we saw our son’s sweet face and heard his cute giggle!  We prayed about moving forward, and on February 27, we officially accepted his referral!  We praise the Lord for His perfect time and generous gift of our son.  Due to the legal standing in the adoption process, we will refrain from any personal information about our son on this platform and any other social media outlets until our adoption is finalized and he is home with us. Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and support! It means the world to us!

Financially, we have been blown away at God’s provision and the generosity of you all!  We began with the goal and need of $25,000.  Thanks be to God, we have raised that and received a grant that we can use for travel.  Our remaining cost of adoption is $5,000 ( on top of the $8,050 already raised on Adopttogther).  If you would like to help us with our remaining costs, we would surely appreciate it!  

We appreciate you all, and covet your prayers for us and our son as we eagerly await his homecoming!

Dear Friends and Family,

It gives us great joy in sharing with you our family update!  God has been leading us into adoption over the years, and as of January 1, 2019, we officially began the adoption process.  After much prayer, God has confirmed our desire to adopt internationally with a trusted agency, America World Adoption.  Their desire is to “build families according to God’s design of adoption, while caring for vulnerable children around the world. “  We have also decided to adopt from India, primarily because they have the largest worldwide population of orphans.  

Adoptions are expensive, averaging around $30,000-$45,000, but we know that God is able to do abundantly above all we ask or dream!  He has already surpassed our expectations by using beloved family and friends to donate the amount we needed to begin our adoption process and complete our homestudy! Now, we are officially HOME STUDY APPROVED! With that being said, we now look to the middle and end of our adoption process with great hope and excitement. We’d love to invite you to join us in welcoming our new child!   We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up!  

As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. We have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

Dossier Submission (International Program)-$8,075

Referral, Program fees- $10,820

Travel and India costs- around $10,000
