Well, everyone, this process that is supposed to take years is happening very fast!  We heard a sermon on August 20th, and now here we are filing a digital TON of paperwork for a child who will potentially be living in our home as a member of our family before this time next year.  My heart races thinking about the permanence of the effect of my current actions.  Every deadline has a face.  

Seth and I have always had the idea of adoption in the back of our minds, but the whole thing still feels like walking into a surprise party-- it's exciting, overwhelming, unknown, impossible to control, emotional.  We're learning a lot of new terms and medical conditions.  We have become completely transparent and vulnerable to complete strangers handling our portfolio.  As introverts, it's strange to tell everyone about growing our family and even more awkward to ask everyone for help.  But we love our community.  We can't wait to introduce you all to our new kiddo.  

I'm not quite sure what the point of this post is, but I will do my best to keep posting what I am allowed to regarding our process.  In the mean time, thank you so much for being in our lives.  Please check out the fundraisers we'll be doing over the next several months too.  One of our first ones will be some really awesome t-shirts that we designed ourselves!  I'll post the link for that as soon as I have it.
