The Hency Family is growing!

About a year before we got married God started the conversation of adoption. A question here. A thought there. Conversations grew into convictions and as the gospel grew in our minds, our hearts and our souls so did the desire to make adoption a part of how our family's story reflects the gospel story. Six years of marriage and one biological daughter later we are ready to add a new Hency to our family through adoption.

We are eager to bring home a new son or daughter and have dove into the paperwork and the details of this journey. It would be outstanding if eagerness and excitement were all that were necessary to adopt a baby but a significant financial outlay is also required. We've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success. 

We have a donations goal of $26,000 that will go towards the initial cost of the adoption. Whew! That sounds like a lot but we are confident that God will provide all we need. We believe he is in the business of reconciliation and as we seek to reconcile a child to our family he will help us reconcile our finances. 

So many have prayed, are praying and will pray for this baby, for this process and for our family. Will you do the same?
