Would you be willing to donate to help me serve others in Chillihuani, Peru?

Hello friends and family the Lord has called me to serve as short term (2 weeks) missionary to serve in Peru. There along with a few hundred other people, I will use my skills and talents to serve others in a variety of ways. We are going to finish building a three-story elementary school in the mountain community of Chillihuani, just south of Cusco, I will be serving the Chillihuani community in other capacities such as spiritual out reach, children's ministries and other ways to connect by meeting their needs.

Key trip information:

Dates The trip will take place July 21 – August 4, 2019. ADRA CNX will have staff waiting for me and my group on July 21 at the Cusco airport (CUZ) and take us by bus to our base camp, which is two hours away. This is where all groups will meet.

Project Location & Living Conditions The project is in a remote Andes mountain community called Chillihuani located to the south of Cusco. We will be staying each night at Camp Chuquicahuana, run by ADRA Perú. We will be camping in tents (6-person tents will be provided to your group) under covered shelters with brick walls. We will have access to showers and bathrooms with running hot water. Keep in mind that the seasons are opposite in the southern hemisphere, so it will be winter. Also, we will be up in the mountains, so expect colder temperatures (High 65°F/ Low 40°F). The mornings tend to be colder, but the sun warms things up nicely throughout the day, even in winter. Bring plenty of warm clothes with coats and sweatshirts, hats and mittens 😊.

Cost of Trip

$2,300 per person. The true cost of this trip is $3,500 which includes airfare, food, lodging, transportation, tourism, tent, travel insurance, translators, work experts, support staff – pretty much everything you’ll need to go on this trip!

Airfare: about $1,200 (depending on flight pattern)

Airfare and Fees I will have to coordinate and pay for my own airfare. The cost of the airfare will not be sent to ADRA as it will go directly to the airline. The cost of the trip does NOT include any visa fees, passport application fees, vaccinations, luggage fees, or transportation to/from airport in the US.
