Quick update on the adoption progress: we only have a few more steps before the organization will match us with a child. The next step is I have to take a 3-4 hour psychiatric evaluation to test my sanity (hope I pass). Kelly already took her test and aced it.

I was supposed to take the psych eval last week but the psychiatrist was sick. This means the process has been delayed a week or so, and as a result we will probably be matched with a different child than we would have been matched with if everything had been on schedule. Interesting how one person's cold can reshape a child's entire life. We like to think everything happens for a reason and that we are destined to have the next child in the queue that we get matched with. We still don't know if we'll have a boy or a girl, by the way.
