We had the opportunity to go to the adoption agency's holiday party this weekend! It was so much fun to meet families that have adopted or in the process of adopting.  Santa was there. Lydia did not like Santa one bit.



We sat at the table with people who have been matched. One couple have already been to Korea for their court date and now are waiting by the phone in order to return. They think they'll get the call within the next week to go pick up their son. They say they might get the call on Saturday and have to fly out on Monday to pick him up. It's a quick turn around, but who can waste anymore time on holding their child in their arms. 

The other couple were matched last summer and now they are waiting to hear when their court date will be. They have been waiting since this summer. 

It was encouraging to see all the families there. Who knows? Maybe next year, we'll have another family member to bring with us! At the very least, we will know who he or she is and will be anxiously waiting for him/her to join us.
