In June 2018 our family will be heading to Jinja, Uganda with other families, to take part in a mission to help children and families become jigger free.

Thousands of people in Uganda suffer from a foot parasite called jiggers. Through education, medical care, and shoes we seek to aid Ugandan people to become jigger free.

SOLE HOPE is making an impact one vulnerable person at a time by holding medical clinics, providing education, and jobs for and with the beautiful souls in Uganda.

Jiggers keep kids from going to school, running, and playing. They prevent people from walking and working. People with jiggers often become outcasts. This small parasite negatively impacts every aspect of a person’s life.

Like many other problems and diseases, the ignorance around jiggers is a huge hurdle in the battle. Education will be key to keeping children and families jigger- free.

Therefore, Sole Hope is taking action. Each child receives individual education before they leave our clinics. They are taught to wear the provided shoes and take care of jiggers when they are first noticed in their feet so that they are much easier to remove.
