About Friends of Good Shepherd
“I don’t go to church, but if I did I’d go to Good Shepherd.” We hear that a lot. In a 21st century, highly-networked world, the way people “do” church has changed. The need for financial support for churches hasn’t changed, however, and this campaign is an opportunity for you to donate.
You may have many reasons to financially support the work of Good Shepherd. Perhaps you value its commitment, made at some costs, to be a fully inclusive congregation for those of all sexual orientations or gender identities. Perhaps you love how it catalyzes a progressive Christian voice in Northwest Arkansas. Maybe you like that The Little Free Pantry movement started on the church driveway, or that the congregation helped facilitate the launch of Canopy NWA, a refugee resettlement agency.
Maybe you like that Good Shepherd is in this community, and in this neighborhood, for good. Maybe you support the voice that Pastor Clint Schnekloth lends to local media, such as KUAF and the Democrat-Gazette. Perhaps you want to see a church like Good Shepherd thrive so that lives might be changed.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 from the friends of Good Shepherd. Your gifts will go to the regular and daily work of this church, standing with local communities, advocating for full inclusion, connecting people to God in new ways in a highly networked world.
