When we decided to get married, we knew that adoption was in our family's future. In January 2011, we began pursuing domestic infant adoption. Seven days before our seventh anniversary, we welcomed Max into our family with just five hours notice! When Max was 16 months old, God placed adoption on our hearts again, this time internationally. 

As anyone who has gone through adoption before will tell you, things never go quite how you expect them to. Just two weeks into the approval process, we saw a beautiful little boy in Uganda on our agency's waiting child list. We just had to know more about him. After weeks of waiting, we finally got a packet of info about him emailed to us and we knew we had to pursue adopting him. We never would have imagined we'd know so early on who our child is. Because we are pursuing a waiting child, our timeline is much shorter than we initially expected; he could be home in as little as nine months!
