Over two years ago, we brought a 13-year-old Ukrainian girl from an orphanage to spend the Christmas holidays with us. We knew at the time that she was not legally adoptable, but we wanted to give her warm clothes, dental care and the chance to experience a Christian family for a few weeks. However, we all fell in love, and Anya came home the following summer as well. Now after two summers and three Christmases home (about 7 months in total), she is becoming legally available for adoption, and we have all decided we want to be a family forever.
