We have BIG news!
After years of fostering, we are adopting a 16-year-old girl from Bulgaria. Deni has earned a seat in an honors program for art (one of only 1,000 seats available in her country), writes beautifully, and lives in an orphanage. She wants to learn, to create, and should have a bright future but because she is an orphan and is of Romani (Gypsy) heritage, she will not. Romani children in Bulgaria are literally spit upon and called “filth” in the streets. Recent statistics tell us that only half the kids leaving Bulgarian orphanages at 18 will live to see their 19th birthday. Think about that for a second. Additionally, half of the kids who live will only do so because they are in either organized crime or prostitution. We are adopting Deni to give her a chance at becoming her best self. The process can cost as much as $35,000 USD so we need your help. We have created a crowdfunding site so that you can be a part of saving this child. Whatever you can contribute will help, and your contributions are tax deductible.
We plan to co-create an art piece which incorporates all the names of the people who help us bring her home so that she will be able to remember everyone who helped give her the opportunity to both live past the age of 18 and follow her bliss. You may not be able to save every child who needs help, but you do have the opportunity to help save this one.
Thank you!
