We are thrilled to announce that we are adopting a very special 4 year old little girl from China!

While we have identified our child, we are still in the early stages of the process. Right now we are faced with gathering the necessary funds to pay for the stateside adoption agency fees, legal fees, document processing fees, and planning our travel so that we can bring our daughter home. Many people don’t realize how easily the costs add up. While the actual donation to the orphanage is relatively low, the total costs of the above mentioned fees can easily total $35,000 which is why we have set a goal of $18,000 to help us pay for those associated fees so that we can better focus on our child’s needs.

So you may be wondering what inspired us to adopt!

For us it has never been a question whether we would adopt, but rather when. Realizing that there are millions of children all over the world growing up without families, and the love and support that we experienced during our childhood (and even now as adults), adoption is a way for us to build our family based on our own philosophy of living our lives with compassion as our central driving force. But to be clear, we’re not just giving a family to a little girl, she’s giving a family to us!
