Be the Bridge to Vaccine Equity for All!

With more and more Arkansans being vaccinated, we are finally starting to see a light at the end of this pandemic tunnel. However, the distribution of vaccines in the Natural State has not been entirely equitable, with communities of color being vaccinated at a below-average rate. Local pharmacies throughout the state and the Arkansas Department of Health have approached Arkansas United to help connect our immigrant community with available vaccines. We are asking you, our supporters, to be the bridge to vaccine equity by supporting our navigation work. 

Who are AU Navigators?

AU Navigators are members of the communities they serve, stationed in every corner of Arkansas. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, they've worked diligently to connect their neighbors with services and assistance programs to help get them through this trying time.

Unfortunately, at the end of 2020, AU Navigators were furloughed due to lack of funding, but their work remains crucial. Navigators stand ready to jump back into action and utilize the strategies and relationships they built in 2020 to ensure equitable vaccine distribution among their communities. Because they are serving Arkansas's most rural communities, AU Navigators are uniquely positioned to carry out this work in places that are otherwise underserved.
