What's going on lately at Esther's House?

We ended the year fantastic with a fun Christmas party at Esther's House! The kids performed their yearly Christmas drama. Thanks to your generous donations toward the Christmas fundraiser, all the children received chips (french fries) and a warm blanket! Our staff, children, missionaries, and grandmas and grandpas had such a fun day worshiping and celebrating together. 



Last year, we started a new program at Esther's House called the Post Secondary Program. This is for students graduating from the Esther's House child sponsorship program. Our goal is to provide higher education for our graduates through university or vocational training. We have five students currently in this program- Felix, Charles, Zenus, John S., and Emmanuel. Two are receiving training in driving, two  are learning carpentry and one is at electrician school. 

Felix is our first graduate from the Post Secondary Program! He completed a three month training in the capital city of Lilongwe. He passed all of his tests and received his driver's license! We are so proud of him. Last Saturday, Felix came for Rewards Day and talked to all of our students! He shared about his hard work which allowed him to pass his MSCE test (12th grade) and was his diligence at driving school. It was such an encouragement for all of our kids to see a graduate from Esther's House go on to further his education in a skill. We pray he will be able to use this skill to acquire a good job and provide for his future family.
