Saturdays at Esther's House are always a blast! But, the first Saturday of every month is extra special because it is Reward's Day! On Reward's Day we celebrate birthdays! This month it was Nedson, Chimwemwe and Gift's birthdays. The kids receive a small gift, a birthday sweet treat and are subjected to lots of singing! Attendance awards are also given out from our treasure box along with treats for the 2 children in each class that are trying the hardest to speak English.

After rewards are passed out, we have a special activity for the kids. This week we made loom band bracelets and let the kids play in different centers around the library.



We recently were blessed to have an Occupational Therapist, a Children's Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor come to Esther's House. We received so much good information and training on how to better serve our children and help them with healing. It was such a beneficial team! Today, many of our play centers were actually therapy. So our kids had fun and didn't even realize they were also participating in an OT class!
