So it was pointed out to me that there was no clear explanations on our transition from "we wanted to save the hosting fees" to Hosting Update. I am sorry for that. Here is the short story of why we hosted...

In Ukraine it is required of the kids being adopted to write a letter to the judge saying if they want to be adopted, if they are comfortable with a specific family or if they want to wait or not be adopted at all. After futher discussion with our agency we felt like the oppertunity to build a relationship with a child would give us the best chance of going to Ukraine and coming home with a child that actually WANTED to be a part of our family. 

What we learned was that there was a significant chance that we could end up paying some $40,000 to get to Ukraine and not find a child that wanted to be adopted by us. While that's not always the case (most of these kids want to be adopted) we felt it was worth the hosting fee to be more certain. I assure you there was much prayer involved in hosting. We feel strongly that it is our duty to be frugal with the funds the Lord provides to us through the generous giving of those He leads to do so.
