"Man plans his steps... and God laughs!"

We have BIG news!

We are Scott and Rebecca Ellis and we have 4 daughters - 3 biological and our newest and youngest, Adelinn, who we brought home from India 1 year ago! We got off that long, rough flight home from India and declared our family complete... and we meant it.  But just a few months later, after the jet lag and re-entry challenges were forgotten and Adelinn was thriving at home and school, we learned of a precious 3 year old girl with achondroplasia dwarfism in India. We prayed about it, talked about it, and prayed some more and ultimately felt the peace and grace to move forward in making her a part of our family.

India has more than 30 million orphans. That's a staggering number, SO staggering that our minds want to glaze right over it. But we met these precious kids- read to them, fed them, held them- and you can't "unsee" that. So if somehow God sees us fit to bring another into our family, who are we to argue! We've often told our girls to do hard things, and do them afraid- so now here we are, trying to practice what we preach.

At this point, we have been  approved to adopt again by both the U.S. and Indian governments and have been officially matched with our beautiful 5th daughter! We have been so blessed by friends and family who have written letters on our behalf, babysat kids while we collected, notarized, and post marked  ALL THE DOCUMENTS KNOWN TO MAN, and of course encouraged and held us up in prayer. Obviously, 2 adoptions done consecutively could be a financial burden- but we saw God provide in amazing ways the first time and are confident in His provision once again.
