Dear Friends,

There are few moments in life that have the ability to knock you off of your feet and completely alter the course of your life. Over sixteen years ago, I experienced one of those moments - meeting my beautiful wife. After nearly nine years of marriage, we are excited to be standing at the precipice of yet another one of those very moments. Parenthood!

It is difficult to imagine a more powerful life experience than raising a child. The opportunity to truly live beyond ourselves, placing their needs above all else, and genuinely re-calibrating our priorities. With that said, we could not think of any other way we would rather take on this endeavor than through adoption!

Through no fault of their own, countless children around the world find themselves living under unthinkable circumstances.  We are grateful to be in a position to reach out and welcome at least one of those children into our family.

One of the first things you come to realize as you embark on the adoption journey, is that certain things “speak” to you. You don’t know how or why, but you listen. You understand that a child in need is a child in need. You throw out all preconceived notions, see beyond any obstacles, and ignore the outside noise. You listen to your heart. We listened; and through various twists and turns, those whispers have led us to a small country in Western Africa - Burkina Faso.

Unfortunately, one of our biggest hurdles comes at the starting line. As you may or may not know, adoption is a substantial financial undertaking. As a large portion of these fees are due up-front, we are unable to move the process forward until we have met our fundraising goals.

We have approached this process with many questions and even more unknowns, but most of all with an absolute conviction to do whatever is necessary to make it happen. The path ahead of us will be long, unpredictable at times, and no doubt emotionally taxing. Anticipating all-of these things, we openly embrace everyone’s support along the way in whatever capacity that may be.
