Bahia, Ecuador is a city that that was damaged by earthquakes of 2016. Tragedy struck as family and loved ones were lost. To this day there are still homes and business that have not been rebuilt. The people of Ecuador have a fear to go back into certain parts of the city where the tall buildings and hotels once housed tourists, and supported part of their economy. These buildings have been condemned and will have to be rebuilt. No one knows when that will take place. Today the proud people of Bahia continue to live their daily lives by any means necessary.

Last year we took a team to Bahia, and saw first hand the damage that was caused. We listened to the people of Bahia tell their stories of the catastrophic events that unfolded. We heard stories how some have relied on God to pull themselves and their families through day to day challenges. We also heard stories of some who have not known God and because we cared enough to share the story of God they came to have a relationship with Christ. 

We are planning another trip back to Bahia Ecuador this coming June. Once again, we will take the Good News, the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the people of Ecuador. We will witness, share our stories, as we listen to their stories continue to be told. We will let the people of Ecuador know that God does love them, and that no one is forsaken or forgotten. We will share the birth, life, burial, and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.
